What's involved

What a Home Safety Assessment includes.

A neurologic specialist comes to your home and spends 60 to 90 minutes assessing the spaces you use most. By the end you'll have a clear plan.

Room-by-room walk-through

Bathroom, bedroom, kitchen, stairs, entryways. We identify the specific hazards in each space, not generic checklist items.

Standardized fall risk screening

Validated assessments (Berg Balance, Timed Up and Go, others as appropriate). Documented and shareable with your physician.

Prioritized recommendations

What to fix first, what can wait, what's nice-to-have. With links to specific products when equipment is needed.

Strategies to use this week

Movement techniques, transfer strategies, and safe-walking adjustments you can practice immediately. Not just a list of products.

Caregiver education

If a family member or paid caregiver is helping, they get coaching too. Safe assist techniques and what to watch for.

Written report

You receive a written summary of findings and recommendations. Useful for sharing with family, your physician, or insurance.

Who it's for

If any of these sound familiar, it's time.

  • You've fallen recently

Even if you weren't hurt. One fall is the strongest predictor of another. The window after a fall is the best time to act.

  • You're afraid of falling

Fear of falling is a fall risk on its own. It changes how you move and makes you avoid the very things that build strength.

  • A loved one just came home from the hospital

The transition home is a high-risk moment. An assessment in the first few weeks can prevent a return trip.

  • A new neurologic diagnosis

Parkinson's Disease, stroke, MS, dementia. Each changes your relationship with your space. Get ahead of the changes.
