Built around your energy, not against it.
We understand the fatigue, variability, and heat sensitivity that come with MS. Our in-home therapy is designed to maintain function and mobility while respecting how MS actually moves through your day.
What is MS?
Multiple Sclerosis (MS) is a chronic autoimmune disease that affects the central nervous system (the brain and spinal cord). The immune system mistakenly attacks the protective covering of nerve fibers (myelin), leading to inflammation, nerve damage, and impaired communication between the brain and body.
MS looks different for everyone, which is exactly why a one-size program doesn't work. We build around the type, stage, and pattern that's true for you.
The four types of MS.
Relapsing-Remitting (RRMS)
The most common form. Unpredictable flare-ups (relapses) followed by periods of partial or complete recovery (remissions).
Secondary-Progressive (SPMS)
After an initial relapsing-remitting period, symptoms gradually worsen, with or without relapses or remissions.
Primary-Progressive (PPMS)
Symptoms worsen steadily from onset without distinct relapses. Less common, and tends to progress more rapidly.
Progressive-Relapsing (PRMS)
A steady worsening from the beginning, with occasional relapses and periods of stability in between.
Common MS symptoms.
- Fatigue and weakness
- Muscle stiffness and spasms (spasticity)
- Numbness or tingling in the limbs
- Balance and coordination issues
- Difficulty walking or standing
- Vision problems (blurred or double vision)
- Bladder and bowel dysfunction
- Cognitive challenges (memory and concentration)
- Heat sensitivity
How exercise & therapy can help.
Physical therapy plays a crucial role in managing MS symptoms, maintaining function, and improving quality of life. Our MS Fatigue Management Program focuses on:
- Strength & endurance training to prevent muscle weakness and improve daily function.
- Balance & coordination exercises to reduce fall risk and enhance mobility.
- Gait & walking training with or without assistive devices.
- Fatigue management strategies — energy-saving techniques for daily activities.
- Spasticity & flexibility training to reduce stiffness and muscle tightness.
- Bladder & bowel control support to improve pelvic-floor function.
- Heat-sensitivity adaptations so you can stay active without worsening symptoms.
